Anchored in Kansas City but ready to sail anywhere, this Yacht Rock & Disco band blends silky-smooth Yacht Rock classics with the glittering energy of Disco for a show like no other.

Born from the Kansas City and Springfield live music scenes, The Yachties unite founding members of The M80s and Innuendo with powerhouse vocalists from Atlantic Express and City Girls fusing seasoned musicianship with disco-charged energy.

Originally launched as Yachtly Groove, the band evolved into The Yachties, embracing a bigger vision: sparkling rhythms, polished harmonies, and unforgettable live performances across the Midwest.

The Crew Behind the Groove

This isn’t your average tribute band. The Yachties are powered by some of the Midwest’s most seasoned performers:

• Curt Whitaker & Ed Valdez (Sir Thump-a-lot and Pulse Pirate Extraordinaire) – Polished harmonies and showmanship straight from The M80s.

• Paul Thomlinson (The Funk Docktor) – Musical depth that keeps the sound rich and full from Innuendo and City Girls.

• Brian Pitts  (S.S. Sax Appeal) – Driving the rhythm section and holding down the groove from City Girls.

• Brandy Wilson  (Disco Deck Diva) – Our superstar “dancing queen” from Atlantic Express, lighting up every stage with powerhouse vocals.
